SSL/TLS Certificate Decoder
SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer / Transport Layer Security) is the protocol that encrypts HTTPS. Paste a PEM certificate to strip the armor, decode the DER, check the byte size and compute the SHA-256 fingerprint — useful for proving a certificate matches what a server presents.
What is a PEM certificate?
PEM is Base64 text wrapped in BEGIN/END lines; the DER inside is the binary X.509 certificate. The SHA-256 fingerprint identifies a certificate without trusting its contents, which makes it useful for pinning and comparison. This tool does not dump full X.509 fields — use openssl x509 -text for issuer, SANs and validity.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs and files are processed locally and are never sent to or stored on Kinetikatech servers.
