Browser Network Capabilities Tester

This reads the Network Information API: whether the browser is online, the connection type (wifi, cellular), and the browser's estimated downlink speed and RTT (round-trip time). Estimates are coarse and browser-dependent, so use them to adapt the UI, not to measure a link.

What is RTT?

Round-trip time is how long a request takes to reach the server and come back, in milliseconds. Downlink is the estimated receive bandwidth in megabits per second. Both are guesses supplied by the browser and are unavailable in some browsers, so treat them as hints.

Download speed

Fetches 2 MB from Cloudflare. The result includes request latency, so it is a rough throughput check rather than a calibrated speed test.

WebRTC IP leak

Gathers ICE candidates through a public STUN server. Browsers may mask local IPs with mDNS (.local); no candidate at all means UDP/STUN is blocked.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs and files are processed locally and are never sent to or stored on Kinetikatech servers.
