HTTP Status Code Explorer

HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) status codes are the three-digit replies a server sends with every response: 2xx success, 3xx redirect, 4xx client error, 5xx server error. Search or filter the list to see what each one means and how to handle it in JavaScript.

How to read status codes

The first digit is the class. 200/201 mean success; 301/302/304 redirect or reuse a cache; 400/401/403/404/429 are request problems; 500/502/503/504 are server-side failures. Retrying only makes sense for 429 and 5xx, and only with backoff.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs and files are processed locally and are never sent to or stored on Kinetikatech servers.
